Indian Assistance of NRs.2,23,81,420/- for Makwanpur Multiple Campus, Hetauda, Makwanpur Shree Ram Naresh Yadav Secondary School, Dhakdhki, Rupendehi

Two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU’s) have been signed today between the Embassy of India, the District Development Committee, Makwanpur and Rupendehi and Makwanpur Multiple Campus, Makwanpur and Shree Ram Naresh Yadav Secondary School, Rupendehi. Government of India will be providing grant assistance of NRs.2,03,68,688/- for construction of campus building and library building for Makwanpur Multiple Campus and NRs.20,12,732/- for construction of computer and library block for Shree Ram Naresh Yadav Secondary school, Dhakdhki, Rupenhehi.

Monitoring committees have been constituted for the projects consisting of the Chairman, Campus/School Management Committee, Engineer, DDC/DTO, Makwanpur/Rupendehi and District Education Officer, Makwanpur/Rupendehi to oversee the projects and supervise construction and ensure proper utilization of the grant assistance.

These projects are part of the ongoing economic cooperation programme being carried out by India with Nepal and will greatly contribute in giving access to higher education to more than 4,000 students with an improved infrastructure for learning.

India’s commitment in strengthening and diversifying economic cooperation with Nepal is steadfast and will further strengthen and diversify in the future. This is a part of the 139 developmental projects in 61 districts of Nepal in the areas of education, health and infrastructure, with an outlay of about 1400 crores.
