INDIAN ASSISTANCE OF NRS. 46.8 MILLION FORSCHOOLS  IN  DHANUSHA

        Two Tripartite agreements have been signed between the Embassy of India, the District Development Committee/Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Dhanusha and the K.S.H.S.B Higher Secondary School, Khajuri, Mahuwa and Shree Sankat Mochan Dev Sharan Ramrati Secondary School, Janakpurdham, Dhanusha.  The Government of India will provide assistance of NRs. 2,88,11,944/- and NRs. 1,80,33,770/- for construction of classroom block, hostel and boundary wall for the K.S.H.S.B Higher Secondary School and for construction of building, development of playground and lawn, drainage system and provision of furniture for the Shree Sankat Mochan Dev Sharan Ramrati Secondary School, respectively. The school buildings will be called 'Nepal Bharat Maitri Bhawan', and will stand as an enduring symbol of friendship between the two countries.

 Monitoring committees have been constituted in each of the projects consisting of the members of the School Management Committees and the District Education Officer, Dhanusha to oversee the projects and supervise construction and utilisation of the grant.

 The implementation of these projects would add to the educational infrastructure in Dhanusha.  It also reinforces India's commitment to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, through such cooperation, especially in the important sector of education.
