PRESS RELEASE

The 5th Annual friendly cricket match between Embassy of India and Nepali Media teams was played today at the Embassy of India grounds in an atmosphere of friendship, cordiality and joy. The match was won by the Embassy of India Team by seven wickets.

Ambassador of India H.E. Mr. Shiv Shankar Mukherjee gave away the prizes. Mr. A.P. Bhatt of Embassy of India Team was adjudged the Man of the Match and Mr. Diwakar Gyawali of Nepali Media Team, the Best Batsman. Mr. S.K. Thakur of Embassy of India Team was declared the Best Bowler for taking three wickets for 29 runs. The two officiating umpires Mr. Vinay Kumar Jha and Mr. Raman Siwakoti, the commentator Mr. Sanjeeb Lama and the scorers Mr. P. Gopalakrishnan and Mr. P.S. Rawat were thanked for their contribution to the match.

The match brought out and reinforced the spirit of friendliness and camaraderie between Embassy of India and the Nepali Media
