Indian cooperation of NRs.27,87,684/- for Pashupati Shiksha Mandir School, Ranitalaw, Nepalgunj, Banke and Nrs.10,84,582/- for Fateh-Bal Eye Hospital, Nepalgunj, Banke


The foundation stone for construction of additional classroom block for Pashupati Siksha Mandir School, Ranitalaw, Nepalgunj, Banke was laid by Embassy of India on June 1, 2006 in the presence of the representatives of local Government and community leaders from Banke at a public gathering. This project of NRs.27,87,684/- for the construction of additional classrooms and provision of books will benefit students from an improved learning environment. A Mobile Eye Care ambulance of NRs.10,84,582/- was also gifted to Fateh-Bal Eye Hospital, Nepalgunj for providing qualitative ophthalmic services to the people at affordable costs in remote and far flung areas.

These two projects, among the 6 projects in Banke district, are part of the economic cooperation activities between the two countries as part of the ongoing implementation of 137 projects by the Government of India in the education, health and infrastructure sectors in 61 districts of Nepal with an outlay of NRs.1800 crores. India’s commitment in strengthening and diversifying bilateral relations with Nepal through economic cooperation is steadfast and will be intensified further for the prosperity and development of its people.
