Indian Assistance of NRs.41,42,281/- for J.S. Murarka Multiple Campus, Lahan, Siraha

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed today between the Embassy of India, the District Development Committee, Siraha and J. S. Murarka Multiple Campus, Lahan, Siraha. Government of India will be providing grant assistance of NRs. 41,42,281/- for construction of library building.

A monitoring committee has been constituted for the project consisting of the Chairman, Campus Management Committee, Engineer, DDC/DTO, Siraha and District Education Officer, Siraha to oversee the project and supervise construction and ensure proper utilization of the grant assistance.

This project, fifth in Siraha district, being undertaken by the Government of India will be crucial in addressing the educational needs of about 35,000 people of far flung areas of Lahan region and will directly benefit more than 700 students of the campus.

This is a part of the 136 developmental projects being carried out or considered in 61 districts of Nepal in the areas of education, health and infrastructure, with an outlay of about 1400 crores.
