INDIA GIFTS AN AMBULANCE FITTED WITH SPECIAL EQUIPMENTS TO KATHMANDU MEDICAL COLLEGE, SINGMANGAL, KATHMANDU


Ambassador of India to Nepal, Shri Shiv Shankar Mukherjee today handed over a Swaraj Mazda Ambulance with Anti Skid stain free vinyl flooring with fittings like PA system, provision for pure drinking water and AC/DC supply Suction Machine, Ventilator, Patient Monitor (ECG+sdpo2+NIBP) and drip stand, worth IRs.12,54,426/-(NRs.20,07,082/-), to Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, Kathmandu.

This ambulance will provide health care services for people especially patients of burn cases in Kathmandu valley and its adjoining areas, if necessary, at their doorstep.

As a close and friendly neighbour, Government of India through the India Nepal Economic Cooperation programme, works with Government of Nepal in developmental projects and focuses on three key sectors, namely health, education and infrastructure. 138 projects are currently under implementation in 61 districts at a cost of NRs.1800/- Crores.
