Exemption 4% additional duty

Government of India has issued a notification today granting exemption from payment of 4% additional duty of customs on specified goods manufactured in Nepal and exported from Nepal to India.

Exemption was given on primary goods in June 2006.

The exemption has been made exclusively for Nepal keeping in view the readiness expressed by the Government of India to do so during the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minster of Nepal Shri Girija Prasad Koirala to India in June 2006.
