Indian Assistance of Nrs. 22.5 Million For Road  In Morang

The foundation stone was laid today at Rangeli by Ambassador Shiv Shankar Mukherjee for the  Gandhi- Manmohan Marg Phase- II in District Morang.  Government of India has sanctioned NRs. 22.5 million for graveling 9 kms. from Gandhi Ashram to Rengali via Takuwa and constructing a 42-meter long bridge over Maria Bakraha river between Sukrabare and Gandhi Ashram. More than fifty thousand people are expected to directly benefit from this project.

The public function was well attended by representatives of the local administration, community leaders and large number of people from the area and adjoining villages.

The project will be executed by District Development Committee, Morang. A Monitoring Committee consisting of prominent persons from adjoining VDCs, has been constituted to supervise the implementation of the project.
