Indian Assistance of Nrs. 20.6 Million For Schools In Sarlahi District Foundation stones were laid for schools in Balara and Garahiya Dumariya in district Sarlahi today by Ambassador of India, Mr. Shiv Shankar Mukherjee. The Government of India will extend assistance of NRs. 1,21,43,870/- to the Shree Ramsakhi Mohit Singh Janata Lower Secondary School, Balara for the construction of the school building and boundary wall and the purchase of equipment, furniture and books. Shree Janata Secondary School, Garahiya Dumariya will receive assistance of NRs. 85,16,183/- for the construction of the school building. Both school buildings will be called 'Nepal Bharat Maitri Bhavan(s)'. These two projects were under MoUs signed between the Embassy of India, the District Development Committee (DDC) of Sarlahi and the two schools. Both projects will be executed by the DDC. Two committees consisting of the respective VDCs and the District Education Officer, Sarlahi will supervise the projects. India is committed to strengthening people to people relations through such cooperation, especially in the important sector of education. |
