Indian Assistance of Nrs. 47.5 Million for School and Nursing Campus

Under the ongoing economic cooperation between India and Nepal, Foundation stones were today laid for projects in Dhanusha and Janakpur.

Foundation Stone was laid at the Shree Sankat Mochan Dev Sharan Ramrati Secondary School in
Janakpurdham, Dhanusha. The Government of India will extend assistance of NRs. 1,80,33,770/- for the construction of the school building, to be called 'Nepal Bharat Maitri Bhavan'.

The second Foundation stone was laid for the Janakpur Nursing Campus. The Government of India will extend assistance of NRs. 2,95,19,949/- for the construction of a building, hostel and Principal's Residence of this campus. The campus building will be called 'Nepal Bharat Maitri Janakpur Nursing Campus’ and will stand as an enduring symbol of friendship between the two
countries.

Both projects reflect India's commitment to strengthen bilateral relations through cooperation,
especially in the important sectors of education and health.
