Indian Assistance of Nrs.23.6 Million for Banke School

The Government of India has decided to extend financial assistance of NRs. 2,36,00,938/- for the construction of a school building and boundary wall of the Shree Secondary School, Nepalgunj-Dhamboji, Banke. A Memorandum of Understanding  (MOU) has been signed to this effect today between the Embassy of India, the District Development Committee, Banke and Shree Secondary School.

A Monitoring Committee has been constituted for the project consisting of the President, School Management Committee, Civil Engineer, DDC/DTO, Planning & Administrative Officer, DDC, Banke and District Education Officer, Banke to oversee the project and supervise construction and ensure proper utilization of the grant assistance.

The implementation of this project would go a long way in improving the educational infrastructure for the people of the district of Banke. It also reinforces India’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, through such cooperation in the critical sector of education.
