INDIAN HELP FOR SCHOOL IN DHANUSHA

They say that “you can’t keep a good man down”. This applies perhaps to the young as well – the students of Shree Rastriya Primary School, Laxmipur, Dhanusha, function out of a temporary structure and yet pursue excellence that enables virtually all of them to reach high school levels.

Soon, however, the School should enjoy the infrastructure that it deserves. Under the India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme, the School is the recipient of a project for the construction of a modern school building, the foundation stone for which was laid today, December 9. The project, which will create 10 classrooms, will benefit about 400 students, at a cost of a little over NRs. 90 lakhs, provided as a grant by the Government of India.

The Government of India is also supporting a public library at Mujeliya and is providing books worth NRs. 20,000/-, the announcement for which was made on the same date.
These two projects continue the ongoing India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme in the three crucial areas of education, health and infrastructure.
