Assistance of Nrs. 29.11 Million For Birendranagar Campus

The Government of India has decided to extend an assistance of NRs. 2,91,13,414/- for the construction of classrooms and a library building for Surkhet Campus, Birendranagar. A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect has been signed today between the Embassy of India; District Development Committee, Surkhet and the Campus.

An Oversight Committee consisting of Deputy Administrator, Surkhet Campus; Engineer, DDC, DTO and District Education Officer, Surkhet will oversee and supervise the project.

It is expected that the addition to the educational infrastructure of the Campus will benefit the Surkhet district which has a population of over 3 lac. This project will enhance the academic and cultural environment at the campus and strengthen bonds of cooperation between India and Nepal in the vital educational sector.
