Indian Assistance of Nrs. 14.4 Milion For Birendra Multiple Campus Library

The Government of India has sanctioned assistance of NRs 1,44,42,828 for the construction of a Library for the Birendra Multiple Campus, Bharatpur, Chitwan. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to this effect today between the Embassy of India, the Municipality Office, Bharatpur and Birendra Multiple Campus.

Birendra Multiple Campus is an important educational centre for the people of Chitwan and the adjoining areas in the Central Development Region of Nepal. The Library will add to the educational infrastructure of the region and directly benefit the more than 3000 students of the Campus.

The project reflects India’s commitment to strengthen people to people relations between India and Nepal especially, in the important sector of Human Resources Development.
