Assistance Of Nrs.12.8 Million For Udayapur School

The Ambassador of India, H.E. Shiv Shankar Mukherjee today laid the foundation stone for the construction of a school building, science laboratory and meeting hall for Ambebar Janata Secondary School, Rajbas, Triyuga Municipality, Udayapur at a cost of NRs. 1,28,07,803/-. The function was attended by local dignitaries, district authorities, educationists, school children and their parents

There has been a long felt need in Udayapur district for developing good educational infrastructure for the local population to equip them to meet current challenges in the employment market. Government of India recognizes that focus on education, health and infrastructure enables a country to develop and progress. As a close neighbour and friend of Nepal, Government of India has a stake in Nepal’s development and remains unwavering in its commitment towards developmental and economic cooperation of Nepal. As a gesture of friendship and support from India for the people of Nepal, the present project is a part of three projects in Udayapur district aimed at enhancing educational input, infrastructure and quality of life of over 3,00,000 persons.

The Government of India reiterates its commitment to continue economic cooperation with Nepal for the years to come.
