        Nature: For establishing and operating the Basic Telephone Service based on WLL
        technology in the Kingdom of Nepal.
        The foreign applicant must have Nepalese partner with minimum 20%(Twenty percent)
        equity.Complete information on the licensing procedure is compiled in the Request for Proposal (RFP)           document.
        Number of Licenses and Period of licenses
        2.1 Number of Licenses:
        Pursuant to this RFPD Nepal Telecommunications Authority will issue only one license for
        the service mentioned above. No further license to operate this service will be issued for the period of five           years
        from the date of issue of license according to the RFPD.
        2.2 Period of License:
        The initial license period will be for a period of 10 (ten) years. After this period the license
        can be renewed every 5 (five) years. The License shall apply for license one year before the expiry date of
        the license. The total license period will be of maximum 25 (twenty five) years.

        5.1 Purchase Procedure: On the submission of a written request to the above address and
        upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 1,500.00 or NRs 105,000.00 for each RFPD. Applicants
        Wishing to receive the RFPD by courier service must pay an additional US$ 100.00 or
        NRs 7,000.00 for each RFP as courier charge.
        5.2 Payment Procedure: Cash or cheque will not be accepted. All payment shall be made
        in favour of Nepal Telecommunications Authority in its account No. A/C 0106011664201
        in Nepal Arab Bank Ltd., Kathmandu, Nepal.
