Applications are invited from Nepalese nationals for 10 scholarships for courses at A and 5 scholarships for courses at B for studying in India in Bachelor level courses commencing July 2003.

2. Performing/ Fine Arts

Criteria
(a) Qualification : Class 12 (Subjects of study should be compatible with course applied for).
(b) Marks 60% minimum in aggregate and in English at Class 12 level.
(c) Age: A: Between 17 to 22 years as on 1st July 2003.

B: For performing Fine Arts: 20 to 25 years as on !st July, 2003.

(1) Selection: Selection will be done on the basis of interview by the Embassy of short listed applicants.

(2) Submission of application: Data sheet (Part -A) and data sheet (Part- B), may be submitted in five copies and two copies respectively. Attested copies of citizenship certificate and mark sheet/ transcript of class 12 only should be submitted along with data sheet part A . All the required five photographs and documents above should be attested. The application should be accompanied by original counterfoil of depositing NRS 200/- in A/C No. 279 of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd, Durbar Marg, Kathmandu on or before 24th January, 2003. Out station candidates may send demand draft in favour of Embassy of India, Kathmandu by registered Post so as to reach Attache (Edu), Embassy of India, PO Box 292, Kathmandu not later than 24th January, 2003. Candidates of CA will have to take an entrance test at their own expenses. Forms will be accepted on all working days between 10.00 hrs to 13.00 hrs.

(3) Candidates applying for Performing/ Fine Arts have to submit the following with the application:
(a) For Music: Sample photographs of their performances, video / audio recording
(b) B.A. (Fine Arts): 12 slides of their own work
(c) Testimonials of two experts from their country in the specific field opted.

Note: Only those candidates who have already passed Class 12 examination need apply. Appearing candidates need not apply.
