Excellency,
On my behalf, and on behalf of the people, Government and the Parliament of India, I take this opportunity to convey warm felicitations on your historic election as the Vice President of the Republic of Nepal.

The electoral process remains a vital component in Nepal’s transition to a federal, democratic Republic and will enable Nepal to draft its new constitution. India will continue to support and assist the transition to a democratic, inclusive, stable and prosperous Nepal.

I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency in further strengthening our close bonds of friendship and multi-faceted relations that bind our countries and peoples.
